Highland Fling: First Race Day

AB Marine is proud to have been the supplier of the fixed propeller and shafting for this new and innovative recessed installation. So as to keep drag to a minimum the propeller and shaft installation is retracted inside the hull when racing. You can't get any lower drag than that. Even though AB Marine is well known as the distributor for Gori folding propellers, it was determined that even these low drag propellers would not be the ideal installation.
The propeller supplied was a 4 x blade fixed pitch propeller (19 x 15 x 4-blade), with a 0.68 BAR. This was fitted to a custom 1.25 inch diameter shaft ... also supplied by AB Marine.
