GORI Hybrid Propeller

The GORI Hybrid Propeller is the first folding propeller that allows you to switch between sailing and regeneration mode.

The GORI Hybrid Propeller is based on the same platform as the GORI 3-Blade, the winner of the Design Awards at METSTRADE Trade Show (DAME Design Award).

GORI has developed an integrated locking system which will keep the blade open when regeneration is a priority and includes a mechanism to release the blades so they are folded for sailing. Boat handling and maneuverability is the same as per the standard 3-Blade Propeller.

The GORI 3-Blade Propeller has been used for regeneration by customers for several years however it has not optimised for this purpose until now.  Extensive testing has been conducted both at BSI Marine Equipment Group in Haderslev, Denmark and with a manufacturer of electric propulsion.

The results of this testing confirm that effective regeneration with a folding propeller is possible. The GORI Hybrid Propeller 3-Blade will be available for both shaft and sailcrive, with idameters from 18″ to 30″
