Can I reassemble my Moonlight Hatch hinges?

The hinge is assembled at the factory and cannot be re-assembled without special tools.   There is an internal “clutch” with a spring mechanism that is activated during assembly.  It can only be made internally at the factory.  In order to reduce the friction, clean with fresh water.  To increase friction or tighten, open and close, back and forth.
